Visits M57 Lyra - Planetary Nebula

We can arrange visits that cater for educational establishments from pre-school to degree level, community groups and the general public. Week days during term-time we give priority to education establishments but can offer star shows to community groups throughout the day if there is a slot available and most week day evenings from Monday to Thursday. Friday evenings are reserved for public visits, be they to bi-monthly star shows, Telescope Club (last Friday of the month), public observing sessions (September to April) or meetings of the Cleveland & Darlington Astronomical Society (September to June).

We also arrange a number of other events throughout the year, from astronomy related crafts to special observing sessions for one-off events such as: eclipses, meteor showers or planetary transits. Solar observing days are also scheduled through the year (usually at short notice, see our Heliophysical microsite) as well as occassional Sunday afternoon shows.
